Lisa's eyes flew open. She didn't know where she was, except that she was on a bed. She looked around and suddenly remembered what had happened. Her boyfriend went nuts and attacked her. She wasn't sure, but she thought that he may have even raped her.
From the look of the bedroom she was in, she figured that it belonged to Steve, the occupant of the apartment that Jason lured her into. Black was obviously his favorite color, since nearly everything in the room seemed to have it, including the walls.
She slowly sat up and got off the bed. For just a moment, she became dizzy and her head felt a little achy. What did they do to her? Drug her?
After her dizziness cleared she walked to the bedroom door and peeked out. Down the hallway she could see Jason and Steve sitting on the couch. They were making out. What happened to him? she thought. Just the previous day he was fine and normal. What could possibly change him like this?
There was no way she'd be able to leave through the front. They'd grab her in a second. There was no phone in the room and her purse was missing, so those options were out. Then she looked at the bedroom window and had an idea. She was on the second floor, so it would be quite a fall. But if she was careful, she could climb down. Then she could find the police.
As she walked towards the window, though, her reflection in Steve's bedroom mirror caught her attention. She stopped and stared at herself. Her skin was pale white. She leaned in close to make sure she wasn't imagining it and saw that she wasn't seeing things. She looked down at her hands. They were pale white too.
"What happened to me?" she whispered. As she talked, she noticed something in the mirror. It was something in her mouth. She opened it and stared at the fangs that now replaced her normal canines. She touched them with her finger, not really believing that they were real. But they were.
This was just too much to handle. She needed to get out of there.
She ran to the window, intending to open it and escape, but she never made it to the window itself. The sunlight caught her arm and she screamed out in pain.
Falling back onto the floor she stared at her blackened arm with shock and disbelief.
She heard footsteps running down the hall and within seconds, the bedroom door burst open and Jason and Steve ran in.
Jason sat down next to Lisa and held her. "What did you do to me?!" she yelled out. The pain was excruciating, but then the pain started to go away. Confused, but also relieved, she watched as her arm slowly, but surely, healed itself. And within a minute, there was no indication that she had been hurt.
She turned to Jason with tears in her eyes. And he held her closer. "Don't worry. I've got you."
"What's wrong with me?" she whimpered.
"You're like us now," Steve said.
"Like you? What do you mean?"
Then Jason said "We're vampires."
