Quick note: I wrote this three years ago now, with Samantha for the first three chapters of this story. Anyone who enjoyed I wanted to say thanks, and sorry for not continuing. I have a few ideas, that I wanted to add to this world of mine. I might even make a separate chapter about the world differences itself. But I want to personally thank Samantha, for helping when I did write this, I was new to writing at the time but now I feel like I've developed a lot and after the next chapter, this will all be my own writing.
“Thank God!” Lukie shouted as the red Jupiter Hotel sign came into view. The Jupiter was another characteristically narrow Amsterdam building, fairly unremarkable and only four storeys tall.
“We’re finally here,” Kessa sighed, a bit short of breath. An older fem waited outside, apparently the hotel’s doorfem, giving the three belles a creepy look as they approached.
“Good afternoon, ladies. Welcome to Amsterdam,” she greeted them in a thick Dutch accent as she opened the door.
“Oh gosh, the hotel is beautiful,” Brianda exclaimed. “And what a bargain… Thanks, TripAdvisor!” The lobby was cozy and well worn to the point of needing a renovation. Pictures of Amsterdam hung on the walls, while the floors were covered in a faded and quite tacky red carpet. The front desk had a leaflet stand with several brochures about Amsterdam.
Brianda walked up toward the front desk, which was staffed by a young melle wearing a navy blazer and white shirt with the Jupiter Hotel name embroidered onto it. Quite professional, he thought to himself. His blonde hair was tied back in a bun.
“Welcome to the Jupiter Hotel, ladies. Are you checking in?” he asked politely.
“Yes,” Brianda responded as he dug through his purse for the reservation information. “The last name will be Laurin.” The desk agent went to the computer and pulled up the relevant booking. After performing some tasks at the computer, he handed them three key cards and a small brochure. “Here are your keys. Your room numbers are 306, 307 and 309,” he explained. “And your check-out time is 11am on Sunday. Hope you enjoy your stay.”
“Thank you,” Brianda added as the other two melles started walking to the lift. It was already four in the afternoon, and the belles were quite tired from their journey by plane, train and foot. Brianda handed Lukie and Kessa key cards as they got to the third floor.
“Gosh, I’m so exhausted… I need to save my energy so we can go out tonight,” Lukie explained.
“That’s a mood.” Kessa brushed back his hair and fiddled with the card to enter his individual room.
