"You've been struggling in class recently and I know you're smart. But your attention has been drifting and you've been falling asleep in class. I'm also concerned that because of your frequent 'bathroom' breaks you might be missing important material. Is everything alright at home?" Miss Benson finally finished.
"U-uh, about my bathroom breaks it's just that-" Jody started before getting cut off.
"Yes, I know that sometimes in high schoolers, puberty can hit hard. And they have needs that they need to address." Miss Benson said in a voice laden with understanding before smiling sweetly. Jody smiled hesitantly as she tried to avoid fixating on her stunning smile, before blushing with the realization of what her teacher had just said.
"It's just I get worked up you know," Jody paused until Miss Benson nodded in understanding, "It's just hard to sleep, and it can take so long to, you know, take care of it. I'm afraid my parents will catch me." Some days Jody had to get off 3 or 4 times to be able to focus or fall asleep. But fear of her parents meant she couldn't always do that. She was grateful for her parents' frequent business trips that left her several days alone at home every few weeks.
"As I said, I understand," Miss Benson responded, setting a hand on top of Jody's for a moment, sending pleasant tingles throughout her body, before retracting it. "I might have a solution. After school tomorrow I will give you something that might help, it's called a vibrator. Have you heard of that?"
Jody blushed and shook her head no. She didn't know what a vibrator was and for a moment she thought she should but she didn't. All she could guess was that it was an adult thing.
Miss Benson continued, "Also I could possibly offer to tutor you at my home if you are up for that?" Jody nodded enthusiastically, trying to ignore the naughty thoughts running through her head. "I'll have to check my schedule..." She paused to check the clock before continuing. "You should probably get going if you don't want to miss your bus home."
"Of course, Miss Benson. And thanks for considering tutoring me and the whole 'vibrator' thing." On the word vibrator, she had a moment of deja vu that she ignored again before rushing out of the classroom. Just as she passed through the door and into the hall she heard Miss Benson holler, "You're welcome," in a warm jovial voice. Maybe since her strange dissociation a week prior things were finally looking up.
