Linda giggled at her husband's luck. The big, strong family man was gonna be a pampered princess for a week. The thought of her husband following tween fashion and making tik tacs or whatever they were called was just too funny!
Linda gave a little smile while she reached out for the bag. She took her time feeling around in it. The anticipation of not knowing who you'll become was part of the excitement and Linda made sure to relish it. If we're being honest, Linda did have a bit of worry every time they did the game. She was the mother hen, Ms Family Values. There was always a chance one of her children could be put in a, let's say not so respectable life. Linda still shudders at the thought of Jon having to be that little neighborhood slut, Tiffany Sanders, for a week. Linda would never want her son to bring home that kinda girl, let alone be one! And then there was little Mikey. One time he had to drive a bus when he played the school bus driver! He was only 7-years-old! Linda always worried there would be a situation Mikey wasn't one enough to handle. But despite all her worries though, Linda knew her family were pros at this game. They deserved Oscars for all of their flawless performances! And besides, if Linda really wanted to teach her children to respect others, this game was the perfect way of doing that!
Linda pulled out a name. "Ron Dockerty. Hmm, I wonder who that is."
"Some of the guys went out for drinks with him," Roger chimed in. "He just moved into town. I hear he's a businessman, in his 30's I think? Anyway the guys loved him. It should be a fun week hon." Roger smiled.
Linda sat up a bit straighter and put her fists on her hips, trying to seem like the man in charge. "Mother of 3 to Mr. Manager. Should be a fun change."
"It's just manager hon," Roger laughed. The couple were big Arrested Development fans.
"Well Mr Manager or manager, I can't wait." Linda passed the bag to Zoe with a sweet smile.
What the family didn't know about Ron Dockerty though was his whole backstory. Yeah he just moved into town, but it wasn't for some wholesome business venture. Ron actually moved into town to get closer to his mistress without his wife knowing. The mistress was young Miss Scarlet, Ron's old secretary. The two had a fun affair until Ron's wife started to wonder why Ron was staying at "work" late and not returning her calls. Eventually things came to a head and Mrs Dockerty threatened divorce unless he fired his secretary. Ron complied but still kept in contact with Miss Scarlett without Mrs Dockerty's knowledge. Ron moved into town to get more time with Miss Scarlett... aand check out the scene for any other young women who enjoy a ride in a Lambo.
Besides being unfaithful, Ron was also a party boy. A typical night at the bar included tons of drinking games and catcalling. Roger's work pals knew how much of a family man Roger was though. They decided to admit all the fun details about their night out with Ron and told Roger it was just a relaxed time at the bar.
