Sometime later, Jon sat down at the kitchen table, awaiting to eat dinner, still wondering what his vague wish had done. The front door opened and in walked his dad (Roger), home from work. He dropped his briefcase on the floor, then headed into the kitchen. After taking a seat at the table, he turned and allowed Jon's mom (Linda) to give him a kiss.
"Welcome home, honey," Linda said sweetly, then grabbed a plate of food from the counter, before setting it on the table.
"Where's Zoe and Mikey?" Roger asked, seeing the two empty chairs that he knew should have been filled.
"Mikey's at Benny's house, and Zoe's out with her friends Athena and Zelda," Linda explained.
"So it's just the three of us, huh?" Roger asked.
"Looks like it," Linda said, putting the rest of the food on the table, then taking her seat.
Now that they were all ready to eat, Roger looked at Jon and that's when things got a little strange. "So, Jon, tell us about ..."
