Zoe's purloined heels made a delightful clacking noise as she strode down the hallway of the hospital's cardio ward. She enjoyed the way interns ducked out of the way as she walked by, just as they would for the real Dr. Park. She adjusted the bow of her blouse and smiled at the feeling of the ring on the chain around her neck below it before opening the door to the room she was heading for. Inside was Patrick Sanders, the father of Tiffany Sanders, who was scheduled for an operation to remove a blockage in one of his ventricles the day after tomorrow. As it was a tricky procedure, Dr. Park was scheduled to lead the surgery, and now Zoe was Dr. Park.
"Good afternoon, Mr. Sanders. I trust the nursing staff has been making you comfortable?" Zoe asked in a pitch perfect imitation of Talia. Patrick's eyes widened and he fought the urge to blanche. His very delicate procedure was apparently going to be conducted by an untrained child. He bit down his fear before if could show. He knew the rules of the game, he had to treat her just like she was Talia Park and Talia Park was the best cardiovascular surgeon in the state. So instead he smiled like her presence was reassuring and gave a little nod. "Yes they're taking good care of me. Has something changed for my surgery?" internally he was hoping he'd been rescheduled.
"Not at all, Patrick" Zoe responded. "I'm just here to remind you not to eat after midnight tonight, we need you on an empty stomach." Zoe gave the man a quick wink, she then looked over his chart. "Everything seems in order to go ahead, so I'll be seeing you the day after tomorrow. I'm off tomorrow, so if you have any questions please ask Dr. Vanderfield, she'll be overseeing the ward while I'm away." With that Zoe put the chart back and walked out of the room. That was Talia's last obligation for the day, so she was going to swing back by her office to grab her purse and then head for the car. She needed to get home a little early today to set up things for when Simon got home; the real Talia Park had reluctantly talked her through all her plans for their dating anniversary, and Zoe intended to follow them to a tee.
"Someone's a lady on a mission," the voice of Dr. Vanderfield came from Zoe's side. Sofia Vanderfield was a beautiful Italian woman, who was also the real Talia's best friend. Zoe cracked a grin and innocently said "I'm sure I have no idea what you mean, Sofia."
Sofia rolled her eyes as the ladies walked through the ward, "Sure, Talia. Simon should know he's a lucky man to have a woman like you."
Zoe blushed slightly, before replying "Of course he does. He's dating Talia Park after all."
