As Melissa made her way down to the garage, she realized the house was even nicer than before. It was definitely larger than it had been and more richly decorated. Apparently her wish not to have money troubles had a serious effect; she'd have to explore later. She made her way to the garage and discovered her family waiting. Susan was wearing the same outfit she'd worn to work, only with the addition of a diamond choker that dazzled like her ice blue eyes. Melissa blushed when Susan's jaw dropped a little at the sight of her, pleased to have such an effect on her wife. Wife, she had a wife and was a wife now. Sarah was wearing a cute pink button up, white a-line skirt, pink heels, and a small pearl necklace, her blonde hair in a half pony. Melissa couldn't help but think her eldest looked adorable. Athena was wearing her green summer dress and a thin white cardigan, along with a silver locket and some beaded bracelets. She was also wearing heels, albeit low ones, for the first time Melissa could remember. Again Melissa felt a surge of maternal warmth and protectiveness towards her daughters; she was becoming increasingly attached to being a mother and detached from her previous life as Jon.
She sauntered over and gave Susan a peck on her lips, "Eyes up pretty lady, you still need to drive tonight." Susan blushed and soon the four ladies were piled into Susan's black jaguar. The ride to Les Roux was pleasant, Melissa entwined her fingers with Susan as Sarah talked about her day at the pool with her friends. It was the last day of spring break and they'd had a bit of a bash. Athena chimed in as well, talking about the nature hike she'd been on with her friends. Melissa had to wonder if the other Goths had changed for some reason, or if Athena had new friends in this reality.
Eventually they pulled into Les Roux; the place was packed and they were lucky to find a parking spot. When they made there way inside, Melissa was surprised to see Linda and her family in the waiting area and her shoes had to catch her from stumbling, maintaining her elegance in public. Melissa smiled and made her way over to her sister and her husband and kids, while Susan spoke to the maitre d. She saw a brief flash of irritation of Linda's face before she smothered it. "Linda, darling, how are you?" Melissa pulled Linda into a hug. Melissa couldn't help but notice how Linda's breasts were both saggier and smaller in comparison to her own and she let out a small evil little smile. Her earring pulled sharply on her ear and schooled her smile into a more serene one; a lady didn't gloat. She stepped back from the hug; Linda was wearing a nice but nothing special light green dress and pearl earrings. She honestly didn't look bad, but next to Melissa she came off as frumpy.
"I'm okay Melissa, just waiting on a table. Someone forgot to make a reservation," Linda looked pointedly at Roger who was busy ogling his sister in law. Sarah and Athena had awkwardly walked over to Jon and Zoe and Melissa suddenly realized the four of them were now cousins, man was that weird.
"Hey Jon, hey Zoe, how've you been?" Athena asked the two. Jon shrugged noncommittally and Zoe just grunted at her former best friend turned cousin. Sarah seemed to be friendlier with her cousins, or at least with Jon. "Hiya Jonboy, are you coming out on the lake this weekend with Karyn and me? Amber's coming..." Sarah trailed off suggestively. "Yeah, that'd be great Sarah, thanks." Jon nervously replied, clearly interested in the Levine girl. Melissa was stunned that Sarah was on good terms with Jon and Karyn before shaking her head. She shouldn't be, of course Sarah was a good person, she was HER daughter after all.
Susan walked back over, "Oh hi Linda dear, Roger." She gave her sister-in-law two quick kisses on the cheek in the European fashion. "Melli, our usual table is ready."
Melissa smiled at her wife, before turning to her sister. "We'll have to catch up later Lin Lin, come along girls." With that the Piermont-Webster family went to their usual table overlooking the window into the courtyard. The Gibsons would wait for fifteen more minutes before leaving to go to Chillis, led by a furious Linda.
