It wasn't until five years after I began my journey around the world that I had found someone associated with the experiment that triggered the Great Shift. Needless to say, this person kept himself well-hidden. The Shift (as people started to call it) had changed many people's lives, and not all for the best. The scientists who triggered the Shift were not thought kindly of.
But after years of searching, putting together pieces of the puzzle, I had finally found someone. Dig deep enough and any reporter could get to the bottom of any mystery. I was just more motivated than others.
Dr. Louis Sanford, one of the leading scientists on the NTE (Non-Terrestrial Excavation) Project, had found himself in the body of a 7-year old boy immediately after the Shift. Now that boy was 12-years old and one of the smartest pre-teens around (although no one knew it, except for himself).
After making contact, he agreed to meet me in person. And that's where I was headed right now.
