It was complete torture. Rick wasn't even allowed to rest for a breather. His sister kept walking and walking and walking and never stopped. Now he wished that she was old enough to drive, but that wouldn't be for another year or two. Every time she took a step, her foot pressed down into Rick's body, making him feel like she was punching him in the gut. And there was nothing he could do to stop it.
It did eventually stop, but not until Rebecca made it to the mall and met up with her friend Cindy. When she finally stopped walking, Rick felt sore all over his body and wanted to rub himself, but he couldn't. How much more of this could he take?
After thinking a little more, Jim wondered if maybe he could talk to Rebecca, using his new body to his advantage. When her friend Cindy called earlier, Jim felt an involuntary need to make a ringing sound and then to mimic Cindy's voice. But he remembered some bodily functions that were involuntary could be done voluntarily, like breathing, for example. Maybe if he concentrated enough, he could actually "send" Rebecca a call.
But what would he say if he could?
As he pondered about this, the sudden shifting of the purse ceased. Rebecca stopped walking, meaning that she was probably at the mall.
