"I wish that I was holding a bottle that contained pills that when swallowed would change a person's body into the opposite sex." Lara said. When they were able to look again Lara and Jon both saw that she was holding a small orange plastic bottle like the ones that people often get from pharmacys.
"Why did you wish for that?" Jon asked curiously.
"Well, I wanted to help you with your transition, but I didn't want to do anything to your body that you didn't want. This way, you can choose whether to take the pill or not."
"You are the best girlfriend ever." Jon said stepping in close to her and kissing her.
Lara returned the kiss for a moment before pulling away and asking, "So, do you want to see what it's really like to be a woman?"
Jon hesitated. He knew that he had never even thought about becoming a woman until he had stepped into this reality, but now that he was here and in this body it seemed like something that he really wanted and the longer that he stayed here the stronger the need to be a woman became. "Are they safe?" Jon asked to stall for time while he tried to make up his mind.
"Well, they should be." Lara said. She began to read the label on the pill bottle out loud to Jon. "Gender Reversal Pill. Take on an empty stomach. You haven't eaten anything recently have you?" Jon shook his head no. "Don't take more than one pill in a 24 hour period. Take only as directed. Side effects can include: menstruation, breast growth, breast shrinkage, increased or decreased facial hair growth, increased fertility, spontaneous erections, wet dreams, changes in muscle density, increased libido, change in vocal pitch, mood swings, depression, and thoughts of suicide."
"Wow that's some list of side effects." Jon said.
"Well, to be fair, half of the so called side effects are the intended outcome of the pill, right? I mean if you take one and become a woman you would expect to have periods wouldn't you?"
"I guess so." Jon answered. "I'm still kind of worried about the last couple on that list though."
"I think that is more for non-trans people that take the pills. You would expect a cis person to be depressed if they suddenly found themselves to be the opposite sex, right?" Lara said.
"I suppose you're right."
"So Jen, do you want to take one?" Lara asked holding the bottle out to Jon.
Jon took the bottle from her and looked it over closely. His mind warred with it counterpart from this reality each offering a different opinion about whether to take one of the pills or not.
