When Jim looked up, he saw Victor Welch and Stephen Arnett, two Goth boys who went to Jim's school.
Suddenly, he felt himself changing. His hair grew longer and into spikes, his skin turned pale, black eyeliner and lipstick appeared on his face, a spiked collar appeared around his neck, his shirt turned into a nylon shirt, his jeans turned into a full-length black leather skirt, and his sneakers turned into a pair of black buckled boots.
Looking down at himself in horror, he yelled out "No! I don't want to be Goth!"
Victor looked down at him and said "I've never seen you around here before. Are you new to town?" When Jim didn't answer, Victor just continued. "My name's Victor. This is my friend Stephen."
Jim looked up at them, with tears filling his eyes. He was gonna be stuck this way until eleven o'clock, or maybe even longer. There was no way to change back, unless he found Rick. But since he changed his appearance, he had no idea what he looked like.
Victor saw that Jim was starting to tear up, but instead of getting mad at him for being such a wimp (like he thought he would), he held out his hand and helped Jim up. "I didn't mean to bump into you so hard. It's just that from behind, I could have sworn that you were going to the dance."
"You're not going?" Jim asked.
"Are you kidding me? I wouldn't set one foot in that fucking place."
"Then why are you out here?" Jim asked.
