While Jim wobbled down the hallway, cursing her high heels and new "assets" every other step, a young girl named Amy Johnson was walking with a group of her friends towards the ladies restroom for some freshening up. The petite redheaded girl was conversing with head cheerleader Rachel Beck when a strange but familiar smell greeted her nostrils, causing her to pause in mid-sentence.

"Amy, is something wrong," asked the busty cheerleader who waved her hands in front of her suddenly spaced out friend. "Did you brain fall out or something?"

"Oh, no. I just forgot something kinda important and I just now remembered it so I really need to run and tend to it real fast, K," replied Amy with a cute smile as she excused herself from the group entering the restroom. "I'll catch up with you guys later."

Amy waited until all of her friends entered the restroom and the door closed soundly behind them. She then looked ahead of her to see the kids down the hallway wrangled back into the classroom. Now that she was alone she trotted over to the area where she first caught a whiff of the odor that demanded her attention. The smell greeted ner nose once again as the pungent aroma electrified her nose hairs and made her eyes tear up.

The curious Amy closed her eyes and inhaled deeply to put her suspicions to the acid test.

Just then the doors to the cafeteria flew open with a loud retort to reveal an out of breath Mrs. Moore, startling Amy in the process.

"Did someone just come through these doors," yelled Mrs. Moore (between gasps for air) to a surprised Amy.

"Um, no maam," answered Amy in a meek tone. Thinking quickly about a way to ditch the teacher she then corrected herself and said,"Waitaminute, I take that back. Someone did open the door a little while ago but they ran back into the cafeteria before I could get a look at them."

Mrs. Moore looked behind her and muttered, "hiding little shi..." before the furious teacher ran back inside the cafeteria.

Amy returned to her investigations with her suspicions renewed. Once again she inhaled deeply until she was almost intoxicated by the faint traces of the odor that was intertwined with the smell of perfume.

Amy opened her eyes and displayed a sly smile as she came to her final conclusion.

"I knew it," whispered the young girl triumphantly,"Magic is afoot!"
