When Jim woke up, Rebecca was still in his arms, and the other girls were starting to get dressed. Feeling him stir, Rebecca said quickly, with a smile, "You can let go now."
Jim felt his cheeks burning as he released his arm, and one of the other girls giggled. "Sorry," he said.
"It's ok," she assured him. "I didn't mind being your teddy bear."
One of the other girls laughed, threw herself down beside Rebecca, grabbed Rebecca, and said, "You must be my teddy bear, now."
Renee then jumped down between Jim and Rebecca, still a tight squeeze, and said, "No, no. You have to be mine."
They all laughed, and Rebecca said, "Ok, I'll be everybody's teddy bear."
Jim was still quiet, though, while they got dressed and ate breakfast. He decided that he should head home after breakfast, but, when he mentioned it, Rebecca insisted that he needed to stay for a while longer. In fact, she dissuaded him from leaving until all the other girls had gone home. Once that happened, she told her mom that she'd walk Kim home.
"Ok, dear," her mom said. "Just come back home right away. You need to help me with a few things here."
With that, Jim grabbed his bag, and they started walking over. On the way, Jim called Katie to check on his parents. They were in luck: Katie was home to know, and reported that the parental units were out, but due back soon.
Because of that, Jim and Rebecca went in the front door, and straight up to his room. Having forgotten what the clothing situation was going to be, Jim immediately started changing into his own clothes. As he did, Katie poked her head in the door to say hi to Rebecca.
"Hi Rebecca, how did things go last night?"
Rebecca turned bright red, and got a very big smile, but quietly said, "It was fine."
Teasing her a little, Katie responded, "Fine? Really? I wish my 'fine' nights left me smiling like that. You better tone that down before your parents ask a similar question." Rebecca, in turn, reached an even brighter shade of red.
Meanwhile, Jim finished changing, and shut the door on Katie. Once he did, he gestured to Rebecca, who changed him back.
Jim took her face in his hands, and bent down to kiss her. "Thank you. That was the best surprise ever."
"That was the best birthday present ever," she corrected him. "Although I liked the earrings. But I better get back home now. Show up outside my window at one, tonight."
He agreed, and she went back home.
When he came back up after walking her to the door, Katie greeted him, "Well, well, well. You didn't tell me that's what you were going over there for. Did the other girls not show up?"
"It was news to me, too. And yes, they showed up."
"Wow. I wouldn't have guessed either one of you were adventurous enough for that. Did the others watch?"
When he responded, "Shut up," she just laughed.
They talked for a bit longer, until their parents came home. At that point, after talking with his parents, Jim needed to do chores and homework.
That night, Jim showed up as promised at Rebecca's room. She used magic to make it easier for him to sneak in and to keep things quiet while they continued their mutual explorations of each other. After that, and a nap in each other's arms, Jim snuck back home.
