Meanwhile, outside the seedy motel, Cecil was just putting back on the rest of his clothes, when suddenly a car driving down the road stopped and a woman stepped out. She didn't look like she really belonged in that neighborhood, but that was because she had made a wrong turn and was trying to find her way out so she could get back home to her family. She was a secretary at an advertising firm downtown, not to mention married to an upstanding man, and a mother to two teenagers. She was a very moral person too. In fact, she was exactly the type of woman Cecil would have targeted, if he had still had his power, but without his voice, he could do nothing.
He turned and started to briskly walk away, going where, he had no idea. But the more distance he put between himself and this place, the better. With no power over women, he feared that the women he controlled might eventually snap out of their mental changes (he didn't exactly know how his power worked), and when they did, he was sure that he'd have hell to pay.
"Hey, where do you think you're going, hot stuff?" the woman asked, uncharacteristically smirking towards him. "Come back here."
Cecil panicked when he felt his feet just stop suddenly, then became even more panicked when he involuntarily turned around and walked back to that woman. Who was she? Did she have some kind of power too?
"That's better. So what's your name?" she asked.
Cecil didn't say anything, because he couldn't. He still couldn't talk.
The woman grew angry. "Tell me what your name is," she demanded.
Cecil mouthed his name, but no sound came out.
This only made the woman angrier. She kicked him between the legs, causing him to wince as he fell to his knees in pain. The woman then grabbed him by his collar and pulled him towards her car. "Get in. You're coming with me," she ordered. And Cecil's body obeyed, even though Cecil himself tried desperately to stop. It was only after he got in the car and they were heading out of the neighborhood that he began to wonder if this was what his "victims" felt when he had control over them. As it turned out, it wasn't. Because, for example, when Karyn couldn't "say no" to him, she thought that whatever he wanted her to do or think was her own idea. This was different. Cecil knew that someone was controlling his actions, but he couldn't stop it. It was like he was a prisoner in his own body.
But the way the stone granted Jon's wish, it didn't just give this woman the same power as the one Cecil had. It gave everyone that power, but the power could only be used on Cecil and no one else. And to make sure that Cecil underwent the same general experience, the wish made anyone who came in close proximity to him to become as twisted and perverted as he was. The woman who now controlled him was taking him home with her, where her family would also want to control him in the worst way, none of them thinking their actions were unwarranted or wrong. But the moment they strayed from him, their original personalities would return and they would forget all the things they did to him. But Cecil wouldn't forget. He wouldn't forget any of it, for the rest of his life. And now that he was a young man, he had quite a bit of life left.
