"Well..." Jon took his time, trying to decide which course of action to take. He chose to reason with Sabrina. He took her by the arm and pulled her aside so he could speak to her alone. "They're trying to make a change in their lives. This isn't a joke, honest."

"Of course it's not a joke," she repeated back to him, as if it were an original idea, "They're just trying to make a change in their lives."

"Yeah, and that's why they want tattoos."

"And piercings," Sabrina said back to him.

"Yes, and piercings."

"Well why are the standing around here in the hallway then? They should go inside!" Sabrina waved them into the store for one of the other girls to take care of, then she looked back at her secret love. She didn't know what it was about Jon that made him so attractive to her. It wasn't just a physical thing, either, it was deep. She felt she had some sort of profound connection to him. Love was the only word that came to mind when she tried to identify her feelings. How many nights had she cried herself to sleep over him?

The thing was, he wasn't like any of the other people that she'd fallen for before. He was, in fact, as different as a person could get. He was just so...

"You're male," she blurted out.

"Uh... yeah... so...," Jon replied, unsure what she was getting at, besides stating the obvious.

"Jon, the thing is, before you... I like girls. Still do. But you, you're different. You I love."

Jon looked at the tattoo parlor employee, a girl he'd shared classes with for years, a girl who he now just learned was a lesbian. A girl who was trying very hard to not throw herself at him.

"Look, I understand if you don't want to let your friends know about your feelings..."

"Of course you do," she tried not to gush over him, but failed, "you're just so understanding. You get me, like, more than anyone else." She inched closer to him and reached out for his hand.

"So if you'd like to go back to your old lifestyle, I'd understand that too," he kept on, trying to give her an out.

"Yes you would understand that, wouldn't you?" Sabrina said, taking his word as truth. She felt her insides melt as she got a closer to him, close enough to take his other hand in hers. This wonderful person, this wonderful MAN, understood her in a way that nobody ever could. He'd even let her go so that she could live her own life, sacrificing his own feelings for hers. He was amazing.

"Look, Jon," she said, stepping so close that she could feel the heat off his skin, "I love you. Right now it's a secret. That's fine, for now. I've never been with a man before, never seriously considered it. I don't even really know how to, you know, do it." She let go of his left hand and let her free hand wander to his now stiffening penis. "But I'm willing to learn."
