"Well, how about ..." Karyn began to say, but was suddenly cut off by Jon.
"Do you hear that?"
"Hear what?"
"You should stay here," he said.
Karyn nodded and stayed sitting.
Jon headed into a nearby shop. It was a tattoo and piercing parlor. They also sold gothic jewelry. Upon walking into the store, he spotted Sarah McMillan immediately. "I thought that was her voice," he muttered to himself.
At the moment, the three "former" cheerleader girls were apparently upset. It was Sarah's raised voice that had attracted his attention in the first place.
"What do you mean you won't give us tattoos?" Sarah asked. "This is ridiculous. You can't deny a customer service!"
"You are not a customer," Jon heard a girl's voice say.
He moved into the shop a little more and saw who was talking. Her name was Sabrina Johnson and she went to school with him. With her pink-dyed hair, leather outfit, tattoos, and piercings, she was obviously part of the punk goth crowd and that was what Sarah and her two friends wanted to be part of now, thanks to a little persuasion by Jon.
Sabrina basically looked pissed. "I don't know what kind of prank you're pulling, but me and my friends won't put up with it any longer. I mean, fuck. It's bad enough you treat us badly at school. Now you're bothering us at work too? Get the fuck out of here!" she yelled, which startled Sarah.
"But ... but it's not a prank. We really do want tattoos," Sarah said.
"And piercings," Lisa added.
"Get ... out," Sabrina said, slowly and clearly.
