Jon was about to open the door to the bathroom, but paused when he noticed his Goth sister Zoe coming out of her bedroom, making her own way towards the same door. Normally, she'd shove him out of the way, saying that she needed to use the bathroom more than him. Normally, he'd try to get here first, so that that didn't happen, but he had spent so much time inspecting his room, himself, and the neighborhood (to see if anything was different because of his wish) that he wasn't able to do that this morning.
But then something odd happened. Zoe just stood there.
"Zoe? Is there something wrong?" he asked.
"What? No. I'm just waiting for you to use the bathroom."
Okay, that was definitely different. She never let him use the bathroom first, if they were both in the hall at the same time. Did this have something to do with his vague wish? Or was she just being considerate towards him, for once?
Jon entered the bathroom and used it. When he came out, Zoe was still waiting there patiently. As he headed back to his bedroom, Zoe silently just went into the vacated bathroom. No snarky remark about how long Jon was taking (it wasn't really that long, actually) or that she was in a hurry, or anything like that. She was just being very ... accommodating.
