"I'm so glad we got away from those guys. I mean, they're, like, so hot and all, but, like, total jerks, ya know?" Steve said.
Jon still thought it was amusing, hearing Steve talking with that slight lisp and effeminate-sounding voice. It didn't match his still-muscular body and manly haircut at all.
"So did you bring it?" Steve asked.
"Bring what?" Jon asked, having no clue what Steve was referring to.
"The stone," Steve said.
Jon's eyes went wide. "You know about the stone?" he asked, before realizing he probably should have feigned ignorance about it instead.
"Of course I know about the stone," Steve said. "Don't you remember that dumb wish I made when you showed it to me? I wished that I had Biff Meadows' hairstyle and muscles. You have no idea how weird it is for me to be this muscular. I mean, over time, I guess I could get used to it, and also eventually let my hair grow longer, but I really miss my slender body, ya know?"
Jon blinked. He showed the stone to Steve? Then he realized - of course he showed it to Steve. He was, after all, Jon's boyfriend in this new mixed-up reality. But what about Karyn? Did he even tell her about it? Were they even friends anymore?
As it turned out, they weren't. Jon's own mother didn't even recognize the name "Karyn" when Jon mentioned it that morning. But Jon still had the wishing stone (even though, at the moment, it was still back at home). He could use to make her remember, right? If the stone worked at all. Ever since he made that vague wish, it had been unusually quiet.
"So, did you bring it?" Steve asked.
