Thinking quickly, not knowing when the next shift would hit, Jon made the first wish that came to mind. "I wish that I will be able to control when a shift happens, who becomes who, and how things turn out after the shift. Anyone I don't explicitly decide to control will adjust randomly as they would have before this wish, but conforming so that the situation I create is normal. No matter what, unless I specifically decide otherwise, I will always retain this ability and my memories, as well as possession of the stone, although I will also gain the memories I should have in the new reality, and will have no trouble being the new me if I choose to be."
As he finished, he was suddenly aware that the next shift was going to happen in a few minutes. He needed to decide what to do quickly, or else the random effect would kick in. Should he change things, and if so, how much, or should he cancel the shift?
