Karyn entered the school, hoping that Jon was there, maybe at his locker. On her way there, she witnessed a boy franticly running through the halls yelling that his friend just got changed into a weirdo. Seeing that this might have something to do with the stone, Karyn stopped him. "What are you yelling about?"
He was out of breath. "Danny Foster. They made Danny like them. Oh my god, it was awful." Danny Foster was on the track team and was good friends with Chris Morgan.
"Who was it? Who did it?"
The boy pushed Karyn away. "Fuck you. I'm outta here before they change me next." Then he ran out of the school.
Karyn was determined to see what was happening, so she backtracked the boy's route. What she found shocked her. Six emo boys standing in a circle. And one of them was Jon. No, Karyn thought. It can't be. But it was.
She hid around a corner so she couldn't be seen, but she could still hear them talk.
