A few minutes into the class, Amber heard Melissa whisper her name. She heard me! she immediately thought. Amber's head turned around and looked in Melissa's direction, and that's when the "real" Amber got a shock.
Melissa was now a Goth. Her long blond hair had become long black hair, her tanned skin had become pale, her sexy pink make-up had become gothic black make-up, besides her ears she now had piercings in her nose and lip, her tight pink T-shirt had become a tight black T-shirt (with a heavy metal band printed on the front), her short denim mini-skirt had become a short leather miniskirt, her pink 4" heels were replaced with black knee-high lace-up boots with 4-inch stacks, and on her legs were fishnet stockings.
The other girls around her (the ones who used to be best friends with both Melissa and Amber) looked at the "new" Goth girl with disgust.
Melissa smiled at Amber. "Are you going to Steve's party?"
"Of course," Amber replied.
Why are people changing? Amber thought in her head. First me, then Steve, then that Nadine girl, and now Melissa?
