"You might want to get dressed before you eat anything," Jon's mother said.
"Huh?" Karyn asked, then looked down at herself. When she took over Jon's body, he was wearing only a pair of underpants. And that's what she was wearing right now.
"Honestly," Jon's mom said. "I don't understand why boys walk around the house with barely anything on at all. You don't see me or Zoe doing that."
"Uh, sorry," Karyn said. "I'll go get dressed." She turned and walked up the stairs and back to Jon's bedroom.
Once inside, she closed the door and looked at herself in the mirror. She lifted her hand to her face and touched it. It was like she was trying to convince herself that all this was really happening. That she really was Jon. His mouth, his nose, his ear, his short boyish hair. It was all really there. She was Jon.
How was she supposed to live like this? And especially without Jon?
She walked over to Jon's bed (now her bed) and laid down, resting her head on the pillow. She looked to her left and saw the wishing stone, still resting on the nightstand. She picked it up and looked at it, then sighed.
As her mind wandered, she forgot that she was still holding the wishing stone, and said "I wish ..."
