Just like the previous time, Karyn was forced to close her eyes after making a wish. And when she opened them, she saw that she was somewhere else. Not outside, but rather in a bedroom. From under the covers of the bed, she looked around and immediately recognized the room. It was Jon's room.
Why am I in Jon's bedroom? Karyn thought, before pulling back the covers. She nearly screamed when her eyes landed on her crotch. There was a familiar bulge beneath her underwear, but one that should have been on a boy - not her. Her eyes moved up her body, seeing that her chest was flat, but a little muscular.
She jumped out of bed and ran to a mirror. Her suspicions were confirmed. She was in Jon's body.
"This can't be happening," she said, hearing Jon's voice instead of her own. She turned around and saw the wishing stone sitting on the nightstand. At least she had the stone with her. Given her circumstance, she figured that it wouldn't have come with her.
Why did the stone do this to me? she wondered. Then she remembered her wish. She wanted to be the owner of the stone, so the stone must have turned her into Jon, because he was the owner of the stone.
She grabbed her head. This wasn't what she wanted. She thought her wish would just change Jon's memory or something. But what happened instead was nearly disastrous. She couldn't live as Jon. She didn't know the first thing about being a guy.
A thought suddenly occurred to her. If she had Jon's body, then what happened to Jon? Did they switch places? Or was Jon gone forever?
"Jon! Time to get up for school!" Karyn heard Jon's mom yell from out in the hall.
