As soon as it happened, he stared down at himself in shock. He was wearing the librarian's green dress, her heeled green shoes, her gaudy earrings, and over-sized glasses, which he didn't even need.
"Where are my glasses?" Steve heard Mrs. Finch ask, from the other side of the room.
He looked up at her and saw that she was wearing his clothes. His T-shirt, jeans ... all of it.
He walked across the room towards Mrs. Finch, or at least he tried to. He kept stumbling on her heeled shoes.
When she saw him, she immediately turned angry. "Why are you wearing my clothes?" she demanded. "Is this some sort of prank?"
"Hey, you're wearing my clothes too," Steve said. Then it occurred to him. That note he read. It said something about switching clothes with someone else. Maybe that's what happened. Steve didn't believe in wishes or magic, but it made sense, given the circumstances.
