But then Jay remembered the note he read and then tossed away. It said something about his greatest fantasy coming true. Was it even possible to read something like that and have it come true? Jay was a very scientific-minded person. He didn't believe in all that magic mumbo-jumbo. It was just all pretend, just for children. Right? No one in their right mind still believed in Santa Claus or the Easter Bunny or the Tooth Fairy. None of that was real. And wishes didn't come true either. At least ... that's what he thought before today.
"Man, Biff is so pissed," Randy said. "You know, he'll probably come after you now."
"What?" Jay asked, getting broken out of his thoughts.
"I don't think you have anything to worry about, though. I'm sure you can take him."
"He's a football player. He'll cream me," Jay said.
"What are you talking about? You're a football player too, remember? It's not like you've never been tackled before."
Except it was exactly like that. When reality changed, it changed Jay's body and life, but it didn't change his mind. He had no idea how to tackle someone or prepare himself to be tackled. His body was a lot sturdier now, but he still felt like he'd get the crap kicked out of him.
