"I told you not to read it," Biff said. "You should have ..."
"I know what you said," Athena snapped back. After taking a deep breath, she continued. "But there's no harm done. To me anyway."
"What did the note say?" Biff asked.
"Something about the two people who hate me the most would suddenly want to be like me and my friends. But I'm not sure who that could be."
"I know who at least one of those is," Biff said.
"Who?"
"Sarah McMillan. In the other reality, I was her boyfriend, remember? She constantly complained about you and your friends. But specifically you. She really hates you. I wouldn't be surprised if she ... wait a minute, did you say she wants to be a Goth now?"
"I think that's what the note implied."
"Well, we have to do something. It's bad enough I have to be in this freakish existence. Now my girlfriend has to be in it too?"
"I don't know, I think Sarah might make a pretty good Goth. She has the attitude for it."
"This isn't something to joke about," Biff said.
"I wasn't joking. That girl has been a stick up my ass for years. Maybe this wish is a good thing. Hmm, I wonder who the other person in the wish is."
"Hey," Biff said, grabbing Athena's arm. "I don't care about your stupid rivalries. I just want things to return to normal."
Athena shrugged Biff off of her. "From my point-of-view, things are already normal. Sarah becoming a Goth can only be a good thing, the way I see it, and I don't want to change that."
"You fucking bitch," Biff said, grabbing Athena again, harder this time.
"Hey! Get your fucking hands off her!" It was Trevor. He grabbed Biff from behind and hurled him towards the wall, where he promptly collided with it and fell to the floor. Trevor was a lot stronger now, thanks to his new jock lifestyle, so he wasn't prepared for the effect of his sudden act of chivalry. Biff was completely out cold.
"What the hell did you do that for?!" Athena yelled.
"He was hurting you. I thought you'd be grateful," Trevor said.
Athena was about to say something, but caught herself. She may have always known Trevor Blake as a hotshot jock, but she had to remember that this Trevor was from another reality, one where he was a Goth and one of her friends, as hard as it was to believe. She took a deep breath, then said "Thanks."
Trevor nodded, then looked down at the passed-out Biff Meadows. He had no idea that he could do something like that. The feeling was actually kind of invigorating. He felt like he was so strong that he could do anything. Is this what the jocks felt like? He still wanted his old life back, but he had to admit, there were certain perks to living this life.
He looked back at Athena. "So, did you figure out a way to change us back?" he asked.
Athena had some ideas. But she wasn't sure if she wanted to implement them. As she told Biff, this reality was normal for her. Changing it back to the way it was would seem like changing it from the norm. And she wasn't sure she wanted to do that. However, reality was changed. And if she could fix that, she should. Who's to say that the other reality was worse than the current one? Maybe changing Trevor back into a Goth and Biff back into a jock would make reality better.
"Well?" Trevor asked. At his feet, Biff began to stir.
Athena looked from Trevor to Biff, then back to Trevor again, and said ...
