There actually wasn't too much different about Steve when all the changes stopped. He was a little less handsome, maybe a little more "plain-looking", but not ugly. And he was a little less fit, but not overweight. He was just ... normal.
He looked down at himself and saw that he was wearing just a plain gray T-shirt and pair of blue jeans. On his feet were a pair of worn sneakers.
"Oh, there you are," a girl said, walking over to Steve.
Still a little dazed, he turned towards her, recognizing her as Karyn Black, the best friend of that loser Jon Gibson.
"Do you know where Jon is?" Karyn asked.
"Why are you asking me?" Steve asked, confused. Usually people like Karyn and Jon tried to stay away from him. But this Karyn girl (who wasn't too bad-looking, actually) seemed to be going out of her way to talk to him.
"Because we're friends? Steve, what's with you? Are you feeling okay?"
"Me? Friends with that loser?" Steve laughed, which caused Karyn to look at him oddly.
"Hi, Steve," a boy said, walking by. His name was Tim, he believed. Why was everyone treating him so nicely?
"Did you bump your head this morning?" Karyn asked, wondering why Steve was acting so strangely. She put her hand on his head, feeling for a bump.
Steve pulled back away from her. "Seriously. Whatever the hell is going on, just stop it."
"There's nothing going on, Steve."
But there was. Steve was sure of it. Some sort of prank maybe? He looked down at his less muscular body again. Okay, then. A really elaborate prank? Whatever was going on, he was going to get to the bottom of it.
