About five minutes later, when Jay arrived at his locker to get his books for his first period class, he had an unexpected encounter.
"Hi, Jay," he heard a girl say. He turned around and was surprised to see Tiffany Sanders of all people. And she was actually being nice to him. But what surprised him the most was what happened next.
Tiffany approached him, with a sexy feminine gait, and kissed him ... with her tongue.
He was about to push her off, but then stopped. He didn't like girls like Tiffany, but, man, that kiss was heavenly.
"How could you?" a girl suddenly said. He recognized the voice. It belonged to Kyla Leeson, his girlfriend.
Jay pushed Tiffany away. "This isn't what it looks like," he tried to explain.
"I thought you were different, Jay. I thought you liked girls with brains, not beauty. But you're just like everyone else." Then Kyla walked away in a huff.
"Kyla, wait!" Jay called out, but she kept walking.
"Forget about her," Tiffany said. "You've got me now."
He turned towards Tiffany. "I could never be your boyfriend. Ever."
She looked disappointed. But then she said "Can I, at least, still be your friend?"
"The only way that'll be possible is if you make friends with Kyla first. She doesn't like you."
"Okay. Whatever it takes," she said.
"Excuse me?" Jay asked, surprised by what she said. He still hadn't figured out that Tiffany's weird behavior was attributed to the wish he had read on the sticky note.
"I'll just have to make friends with her," Tiffany said, before walking down the hall towards Kyla.
