As the teacher began to talk, something odd started to happen. Tim Brant (friend of Jon and Karyn) looked to his right, remembering what that weird note said, and saw Karyn Black. And right before his eyes, his friend began to change.
Her hair shortened and became reddish-brown. And her breasts reduced in size from a D-cup to a B-cup. Basically, she lost all of her enhancements created by the stone. But Tim didn't know anything about that. As far as he could remember, Karyn had been a large-breasted blond for years.
Karyn looked down at herself in shock, not quite understanding what just happened, but relieved that she had been turned back to normal.
"Karyn?" Tim whispered.
She looked at Tim. She wasn't sure why, but suddenly she really liked him. Even more than Jon. Her memories told her that wasn't right, that Tim was just a regular friend, that Jon was her best friend. But her mind insisted that they should be best friends nonetheless.
It was very confusing.
Down the hall in another classroom, Jon's mind was wandering. He was thinking about all the things he was going to wish for when he used the stone on Saturday with Karyn.
Suddenly, a magic-propelled distortion wave flew through the classroom, changing reality.
Jon's mind wandered. He was thinking about all the things he was going to wish for when he used the stone on Saturday. The only thing that would have made it better would be if he had someone to share it with. He thought about showing it to one of his friends. Maybe Tim or Karyn, or maybe Pete. But he wasn't really close to any of them. He supposed that maybe he could wish up a friend. But he'd have to think about all that later.
What no one realized (yet) was that because Karyn was now Tim's best friend and not Jon's, the wishing stone was never shown to her. And that meant that she never made her careless wish which caused her to obtain larger breasts and blond hair.
