It was on every news station and all over social media. Famed race car driver and defending circuit champion, Saffron Stewart had been busted for a second time for DUI. This occurred a few days prior after a party celebrating her most recent win. "Damnit Saffron!" Her PR agent screamed, "you got some slack from us and the media after the first time, but, that won't happen again.
Saffron sits across the office, her long brunette hair frames a beautiful, makeup free face. Pulled from the shop for this meeting, Saffron wears a white t-shirt beneath denim overalls. Both filled with old and new oils stains. This is ridiculous Charlie! God forbid I have some drinks after a win!"
"No one care that you were drinking," Charlie replies, "It's the driving after part that's the issue!"
The driver rolls her eyes, "fine, my bad, how to we fix it?"
Charlie grabs a sheet of paper off the desk and walks towards his client. "I struck a deal with The District Attorney." Charlie hands the paper to Saffron. Two weeks of daily therapy. If you follow her program and show progress with your drinking issues, Dr. Jade will sign the needed paperwork to get you back on the track. She'll also send out a press release that will smooth things over with the media."
"What the hell does her program mean?"
Back at his desk, Charlie sits and replies, "read the paper."
Saffron's eyes dart back and forth for a few moments before she looks up with a furious expression. "8:00 am every morning! Professional dress! What the fuck is that?"
"Knee length skirts or dresses, makeup, heels and....." Saffron takes a deep breath and sits back in her chair after reading the final required item. "Fucking pantyhose! Are you shitting me with this crap Charlie?
The PR Manager sits gets a stern look while leaning on his desk. "I think it's odd as well, but we can't afford for you to miss the time you'd either be in jail or what other therapists wane for their programs. Dr. Jade is the only one who would work with our time frame. Missing two races won't dent your points lead too much. But, any longer is pushing it."
Saffron tosses the paper away and heads to the door. "Well, guess I better go shopping!"
