Suddenly, the door opened and in walked the new principal - Alan Dickenson. He stopped and looked back and forth from Simon to Debbie, then to Simon again. Then he turned towards Debbie.
"Debbie, who is this man? Why is he in my office?" he asked her.
"Alan, it's me. Simon. Simon Davison."
"Is that name supposed to mean something to me?" Alan asked, turning towards Simon. "Just get out of here, okay?" he said, then he turned to Debbie. "We're going to have a talk about this later, Debbie. You can't just bring anyone into my office."
Debbie walked out of the office, followed by Simon, who was in a daze. It was weird enough that he was 27 again, but he was also a complete stranger to one of his colleagues? Alan may not have recognized him (being so young), but he should have at least recognized the name.
