As the teacher began to talk, something odd started to happen. Randy Goodman looked to his right, remembering what that silly note said, and saw Trevor Blake. And right before his eyes, the Goth boy began to change.
First, his skin went from pale to tanned, then his hair shortened and changed from black to light brown. After that, his body started to muscle up to the point where he looked similar to most of the other jocks. His black eyeliner and black lipstick disappeared, as well as his spiked collar and all of his piercings. And then his clothes began to change. His nylon shirt and the black T-shirt over it turned into a white muscle shirt, similar to the one that Randy was currently wearing. His black full-length leather skirt morphed and changed until it was a pair of blue jeans. And his boots changed into a pair of sandals.
Trevor looked down at himself in shock, not quite believing what had just happened and feeling disgusted that he now looked like everyone else. He was now a conformist, his worst fear.
"Oh, man," Randy whispered. "I can't believe that just happened." He was shocked, but certainly not disappointed. Trevor's change was definitely an improvement, in Randy's opinion.
Trevor looked at him with wide eyes. But then he calmed down. He wasn't sure why, but suddenly he liked Randy. He felt fine with him around. His memories told him that wasn't right, that Randy usually went out of his way to hassle Trevor and his friends, calling them freaks and vampires. But his mind insisted that they should be friends nonetheless.
It was very confusing.
