"Did you hear?" Kyla Leeson asked. "Biff got beat up again."
Jay Duncan looked up. Did she say what he thought she said? "Did you say Biff?"
"Yeah. You know, someone's gotta put a stop to it. Every day he gets bullied."
"You're talking about Biff Meadows, right?"
"Of course," she said, looking at him a bit oddly. "How many Biffs do you know?"
"Kyla. Biff doesn't get bullied. He's the one that does the bullying."
"What are you talking about?"
"What are you talking about?" Jay asked back.
Thanks to the way Mikey made his sticky note wish, anyone associated with the wish on the note doesn't get their memories changed to fit the new reality. So, in this case, that's Biff and Jay.
Biff couldn't stop staring at himself. Not because he liked what he saw, of course, but because he was in total shock. Over and over in his head, he tried to think how this could have happened. Then suddenly he remembered that note. The yellow one he found on the floor. He picked it up and read it, then threw it away ... and that's when he started feeling dizzy.
He tore his attention away from the mirror and walked back to the trash can. Lying at the top of the garbage heap was a crumpled up yellow piece of paper. That was it! He reached down and grabbed it, then started to open up the note.
But as he did, two jocks bumped into him, causing him to drop it. The thing was, they went out of their way to do it. And that made Biff mad.
"Hey! Watch where you're going!" he yelled at them.
The two guys turned around and Biff saw who they were: Danny Foster and Tom Welles, two fellow football players. They sneered at him, then shoved him on the floor. "Watch where you're going," Tom said. Then they turned and walked away.
Biff got the message. He was apparently in their way, not the other way around. But why was this happening? Why were all his friends treating him like this? Did they not know who he was? Truthfully, he almost didn't recognize himself when he saw his new reflection the first time, but he still had his face. It just didn't make any sense.
When he was sure that Danny and Tom were gone, he stood up and headed to his locker. But then he remembered the note. He dropped it when he got bumped into. So, he turned around and walked back to the place he got bullied ... twice. But when he looked around, he couldn't find it. He checked the trash can, thinking someone might have thrown it away like he did, but it wasn't in there.
Where could it have gone?
