"I had a boyfriend," said Jennifer. "I told you, the pad wishes don't always change reality, but if they say they do, like Mikey being a mermaid, they do. My friend Joseph ended up being my boyfriend instead, when the wish changed reality. We broke up right after that, if you could even call that a breakup. Maybe I did think more like a girl when I became one, but I certainly wasn't ready for a boyfriend then."

"Would you get together with him again?" asked Becky.

"I don't know," replied Jennifer. "Does that answer your questions?"

Becky wasn't sure, but said "Yeah."

Becky called Jason and when he did come, everyone was gathered in the living room. Him, Becky, Jenny, Jennifer (ex-Jon), Mark, and Karen. One more was needed; Jennifer said "I wish that Michelle is here and knows she just came here."

She appeared in a wheelchair, in an open space near the couch and chairs. "Jennifer, what are you doing--"

"You've messed it up enough," said Jennifer. "Be glad I'm bringing you here at all. I'm only even bothering to help you because you're a kid and you didn't know any better. Well, I think you do now. I'm here to fix the mess you caused. At least, what little I can fix."

Jennifer continued. "The problem is that wishes can't be reversed. Especially pad wishes." She referred to a sheet of paper that she had torn from a school notebook, reading descriptions off of it. "Mr. and Mrs. Connely, and Jenny. Your wishes gave you the opposite genitals and said your bodies stay the same. I can't change that. What I could do is make people not notice it unless you point it out. Or ignore how strange it is. Or notice that it's a little strange but only a little. I could wish that they treat you like guys or girls. I could change your sexual orientation."

"What's that?" asked Jenny.

"Whether you like guys or girls. Or I could change reality and everyone thinks you were always like that--at least you won't have to explain why you just changed. Your choice.

She continued. "Becky and Jason. Your wishes changed your genitals, but they didn't say anything about your bodies. So you can pick whether you want your bodies to change or not. And I could also change other things like for the others."

"Michelle. I saw this anime once which had a mermaid girl about your age in it. It was called Chacha or something like that. Mermaids in that only have a tail when they are wet and get legs when they are dry enough. This one should be an easy choice, but just to be sure, tell me if that's okay."

"Go ahead," grumbled Michelle.

"Okay, I wish you're that kind of mermaid." The wheelchair vanished into thin air, and Michelle was standing there--still female, of course.

"Last is me. I can fix myself whenever I want, except I don't know how to fix myself. So make your choices."

"Do we have to choose now?" asked Becky.

"Well, if you don't choose now and you text me tomorrow I can certainly do it. But if you wait months or years, I could be run over by a bus, or lose the stone. So I wouldn't if I were you. What does everyone decide?"
