Across town "Megan" arrived home she bounched up the stairs to her room with the enthusaism that could only come from an eight-year-old girl. When she reached her room she looked round it as if it was the first time she had ever seen it. No that wasn't right she thought shaking her head as if to try and expell the silly thought.
She could see her dolls and teddy s lying in the same spot she had left them before she had gone to see her aunt and uncle that morning. She must be tried. Yeah that was it and with that thought she lay down for a nap on her pretty pink bed which she loved so much.
The thoughts that "Megan" had dismissed so quickly where coming from the small part of Alex that was left inside her. The stone as powerful as it was could not overwrite the whole personality of an adult with that of child so easily, it would time a great deal of magic energy to do that perhaps more than the stone had.
Instead it had gone for a simpler route. It had made Alex believe that he was Megan and the more he was told that was who he was the more he would become Megan. Gaining her memories of family, friends of her whole life. The longer this went on the less and less of Mikey's dad Alex would be left until it would get to the point where all that was left was Megan and Alex would be gone.
As for the real Megan the same thing was happening but in reverse. Mikey had thought had made the perfect set of wishes to play a prank on his dad and cousin. He could not have known what would happen or how his wishes would be granted.
