Immediately Jon started ranting. "Oh shit, she's gonna screw things up. What did you promise to let her wish for? To get revenge? She hates me! She'll turn me into the family dog or something!"
"Would you rather her think that you and I are going to try and take it from her? Then she'd be defensive and wouldn't want to listen to us! She'd have tried to wish for you to have purple hair next I bet. God, look at this!"
"Yeah, that does look funny."
"Oh, stuff it. Look, when she comes back in, do NOT make fun of her or insult her or anything. She's actually not stupid, even if she is just a little girl."
"Trust me, Karyn, she's stupid. The other day"
"WHAT THE HELL!?!" came a shout from Zoe's room.
Jon and Karyn looked at each other and both said the same thing, "Pink."
After a long, silent ten minutes, Jon's bedroom door opened suddenly. The sight that met Karyn and Jon made them giggle despite themselves, and they had to fight to keep from full out laughing. Even with the situation they were in, it was just too funny.
Zoe stood framed by the doorway in an outfit of complete pink. She had a pink pair of jeans, pink sneakers, pink socks, and a pink t-shirt with "You can only be ugly or stupid. Pick one." in pink lettering. The different articles of clothing had various shades of pink to them, but they were all very definitely pink.
"You are so going to suffer for this, 'brother'." Neither Karyn nor Jon liked the way she pronounced the word "brother", and both stopped giggling instantly.
