And this isn't a story about a teenager with a nuke. This is a story about a fictional stone that grants wishes.

That's basically a story about a teenager with a nuke. A fictional nuke, but the characters in the story don't know they're in a story--to them it's not fictional, it's real, as real as military coups.

In this kind of story, the keeper of the artifact is entitled to keep it, in general.

In this kind of story, political consequences are ignored, in general.

But if you do decide not to ignore them, you can't just selectively ignore or not ignore them depending on whether it's someone you want to complain about.

Deliberate suffering. Mass suffering.

You don't seriously think Jon hasn't caused mass suffering? Don't think that just because what he did has effects that couldn't happen in real life, there's no suffering involved. Changing someone's body and mind is a huge personal violation of one's most intimate self, even if some of them are restored. (And I wonder how many people died when their pilot or surgeon suddenly turned into a walking geranium, or got run over by cars, etc. Heck, just the suicides would be a huge body count.)
