In the next few performances
The acts were gets wilder and grander as Max concocted magic impossibilities beyond imagination!
Max's reputation grew as the audience got bigger and bigger in each performance.
The routine of each show was fairly standard. The opening act was a crowd attention-getter. Usually a showy illusion that made use of the props moreso than relying on the wishing stone.
From there, it would vary, but usually end up with Max doing some close-up sleight-of-hand tricks. These were sentimental to Max as these were tricks that he learned growing up which still dazzled the crowd.
Then he would start to rely on the stone making some incredible feat happen "“ Usually it would be some kind of manipulation with his assistants.
That led to the finale which also led another kind of manipulation of his friends.
Tonight's show was no different:
Max began by producing a tiger and a horse out of thin air. The tiger was encased in a cage, which Tanya towards the back of the stage, while the horse was led by its reigns next to the cage in the rear by Wendy.
Max worked some smaller tricks and then brought back the Top Hat trick where he'd pull Karen out of the hat (now that she wasn't complaining about it.) He did the whole bit where Karen and Jon swapped bodies and heads. Jon's head was on Karen's body and vice-versa. They examined their new bodies in confusion then they both went into 2 magical booths and came out restored.
Now it was time for the finale .
