During the startup of the next magic performance Jon bit his lip as he watched the show from the audience.
Max, having the stone, now was extremely confident with the power he held in his hand.
The act went according to the many rehearsals they practiced. Although Jon noticed a lot more special effects and fireworks go on around the stage than when he did it. Jon also noticed that when Max appeared, he would do so in a burst of flames erupting from the ground instead of a puff of smoke. Jon couldn't help but noticing that the expression on Max's face seemed quite stern and serious "“ almost insidious.
Once again, Max had gotten to the part of the show where he pulled Karen out of the hat. Karen was dressed in her white Playboy outfit waiting offstage for her appearance.
"Ladies and Gentlemen I, the Great Mysterio, will now attempt to pull a rabbit out of my hat!"
Again there were some hecklers in the audience.
"Look it's gonna be the same old trick where he pulls that girl dressed like a Playboy bunny out of the hat." "Yeah, he always does the same old routine." "He's no David Copperfield or Lance Burton!"
Max was a little perturbed at the snide remarks from the audience and used the stone once again.
He noticed that the skeleton was missing from the stage (apparently Karen got rid of it after her last ordeal) so he had to improvise.
Like before, Max pulled Karen's head out up to her neck. She struggled a bit then relied on Max to free her. A sinister grin came across Max's face. When he pulled Karen out of the hat, her head was attached to a rabbit's body!!!
Karen screamed "What happened to my body?!" She looked similar to the woman on the movie, "Mars Attacks" who had her human head attached to a dog's body!
"It's right over here, my dear" sneered Max who pointed to a large box with the silhouette of a woman painted on it. The doors opened and out stepped Karen's body. But this time with the head of a rabbit!
More screaming ensued.
