The Hotel Scherzo was home to many famous acts in the lounge. From the wonderous ventriloquist Eddy and his dummy, Woody; to the comedy antics of the Amazing Bob; to the singing of Wade Niven. The final act always ended with Max, Jon, Tanya, Karen, and Wendy performing their magical misadventures. They performed for several weeks and the crowd couldn't get enough.
One night, all went according to the normal scheduled plan. Jon actually was getting a little bored of the same routine night after night. He was slightly daydreaming when they got to the portion where Max pulled Karen out of the hat.
A few hecklers in the audience yelled out "Hey! I already saw this on Youtube! He's gonna pull that chick out of the hat dressed like a Playboy bunny!"
Jon was a little disturbed by the comments. He twisted the rock a few times in his pocket and thought to himself, "Oh yeah see if you've seen this coming "
As routine, Max pulled Karen's head by the bunny ears out of the hat up to her neck. She struggled to get free, but couldn't. Max continued to pull on the ears and apparently he pulled too hard, because he held onto the rabbit ears attached to Karen's head, but with NO BODY ATTACHED TO IT!!!
There was a lot of screaming including Max, Karen, and the entire audience.
Jon gave a chuckle and directed Karen's headless body to come out of one of the magic boxes behind Max. It clumsily hobbled onto the stage, bumped into a plastic skeleton prop and knocked off the head to the floor.
Karen's shapely body seemed a bit confused. First it felt the empty space on top where Karen's head used to be and realized that something was missing. It kneeled to the floor and started to feel around aimlessly. It finally latched on to the prop skull that fell onto the stage. Karen's body clad in the white Playboy outfit placed the skull on it's neck.
The body looked around, scratched it's head in bewilderment, then reached up to feel what the problem was. After realizing that this wasn't the right head, It tried to pull the skull off, but couldn't. It then struck a sexy pose and ran it's hands up and down it's new form.
Max still held onto Karen's head by the ears. Karen screamed "Hey! That's MY body! What are you doing with it?!"
The body then walked over to Max and took Karen's head from him. To her surprise, the skull on her former body placed her head on top of the plastic skeleton. Karen was in shock! The skulled Karen's body did a little bow and carted the skeleton with Karen's head off stage cursing and screaming "Give me back my body!"
The audience was in a frenzy! No one had ever seen a trick like this before!
Jon thought to himself "Now how do I top that for the finale? ."
