Jon took out the stone, suddenly looking like he had a way to fix things, then said "I wish it wasn't considered strange for my parents to swap roles from time to time."
The glow from the stone caused Karyn to close her eyes and when she opened them, Jon was no longer there! Instead, to her bewilderment, Jon's Goth sister Zoe was standing next to her, dressed exactly like Jon was a moment ago. She didn't look gothic in the slightest. It was almost like ... like she was pretending to be Jon.
"Karyn, are you okay? You look dazed," Zoe said.
After snapping out of it, Karyn turned and looked around, noticing that other people seemed to be dressed differently and were acting differently as well. It was Jon's wish! He made it so that it wasn't considered strange for his parents to swap roles now and again. So that made it so that it wasn't strange for anyone!
"Earth to Karyn," Zoe said, waving her hand back and forth in front of her face. "What's with you this morning?"
Karyn blinked and looked at Zoe. It was now obvious that Zoe had switched "roles" with Jon. But where was Jon?
