"So" Jon said between breaths, "What did you wish for?"
"Oh, I don't want to spoil the suprise just yet. Much like yours I want you to see what its like before I let you in on it."
"I guess that's fair. You didn't make Zoe a goth did you?"
Karyn giggled. "No, but she did get affected by my wish."
"hmm" Jon thought for a moment while Karyn enjoyed the scenery. The city definitely looked different, much more like a wild west town or turn of the century. Seldom were buildings more then two or three stories and she didn't see any cars parked on the street, only buggies and carriages. She saw a few being pulled by horse people like Jon, and was that a anthro seeing eye dog escorting old blind Mrs. Kavendash?
"Did you change Zoe into a mare and me into a stallion?" Jon piped up hopefully. "That sounds like something you would do."
"Heh, nope, but good try." Karyn filed that one away for later. It did sound interesting, and after giving Jon a body like this it would be good to teach him how the other half lives.
"Well, you couldn't have wished me up some human smarts, or I probably could have guessed it. So I'll just have to take another approach!" Jon said, taking off in a dead run. Karyn only had enough warning to clench tight to the saddle as Jon hurdled a few fences with ease. His long legs easily clearing the white pickets. Karyn tugged the reigns. "Jon, please slow down!"
"Heh, nope"
Suddenly, another horse came up along side them, even larger then Jon and wearing the blue livery of the local police. "The young lady said slow down colt!" The horse said authoritatively.
Chagrinned, Jon's ears slumped as he obediently slowed to a canter. The policeman rider turned to Karyn. "You need some help miss?"
"Oh no officer. Jon just gets excited some times." She blushed.
The officer shared a knowing look with his mount. "Just take it easy here in town. There's no need to cause a disturbance."
His mount just gave Jon a look, and the way Jon's ears drooped she knew he got the message.
"Good. Now off to school with you two. I don't want to play the truant officer today."
