Linda entered the master bedroom and began to get undressed, putting on a night light to see. The noise and the light caused Roger to awaken, though. He looked over at his wife, causing the bed sheets to slide down his nightgown-clad body. "Did she come back?" he asked her.
She nodded. "It's all been taken care of. Go back to sleep, honey."
Zoe was ticked off, to say the least. Not only was she in trouble for smoking, but now she was grounded for a fucking month?! She laid back onto her bed, in just a pair of boxers and a black sports bra, her mind returning to earlier that night when she hooked up with a hot boy at the club. She didn't think she got the guy's name, but she remembered how hot he looked in that halter top and miniskirt. No, Zoe didn't drink that night. But she did have sex. Good thing her mom didn't ask her about that. She might have been grounded for the rest of her life! But it was okay. She made sure that the boy wore a condom. Zoe wasn't stupid.
As she slowly drifted off to sleep, she wondered if maybe it would have been better if she never came back home at all. She could just shack up with one of her friends. Athena and Zelda wouldn't have minded.
If only there was a way to wish herself away from all of this. Little did she know, there was. In fact, the wishing stone was partially responsible for her being in this situation in the first place.
Jon couldn't sleep. He was just too excited for tomorrow. He couldn't wait to go to school with an official girlfriend. In his head, he was already planning out his entire life with Karyn. How they'd get married, with him in a beautiful white wedding gown, and her in a tuxedo ... starting a family, raising a boyish boy who loved wearing dresses and ballet dancing, and a girl who loved playing sports ... Jon becoming a househusband, just like his dad, and Karyn getting a high-paying job, maybe as an executive.
He wondered if Karyn was thinking the same things. Probably not. Girls didn't think about stuff like that.
Karyn looked down at the wishing stone in her hand. It was up to her whether or not she wanted to end her last wish and return things to normal. All she had to do was wish it, but she wasn't sure if she wanted to or not. She considered leaving things as they were, for the time being. She didn't want to keep the world (or rather, the town) like this forever, but, well, she was curious to see how her new relationship with Jon would unfold, thinking that it may not exist, at least in the same way, if she returned the world back to normal.
So with that thought, she put the stone on her nightstand and slowly fell asleep.
The next morning ...
