Nervously, Garrett slid off the giant eagle after a long chilly ride on its back. The home’s quaint appearance didn’t allay any of Garrett’s concern over Arietta’s fate as well as his own. Now this family was putting itself in danger for him. He approached the door with trepidation knocking softly on the door. He heard activity in the house which ceased with his knock. He heard heavy footsteps approach the door as a deep voice called out, “Hello who graces our home with their presence?”

Garrett’s voice weakly responded, “A friend of Arietta. I have a letter from her that should explain everything.”

The door opened revealing a large burly who smiled upon catching sight of Garrett. “Well now little sprite how about I check out this letter of yours. No need to worry little one come inside and wait while I check out this letter of yours. My wife is fixing up some lunch if you want you can have some. Sorry, I am rude I call myself Gregory. What is your name little one?”

Garrett responded quietly intimidated at the mans size, “It explains in the letter who I am. I prefer that you read rather than me saying.” Garrett surprised himself with how timidly he behaved. The strange body combined with the diminished size. Gregory nodded as he stepped aside to give access to his home. A comely young woman gave a friendly smile to Garrett gesturing for him to take a seat.

Darlene overheard the conversation choosing not to pry situated the young girl at the table before fixing the cute little thing a plate. She hummed while setting the plate down with a grin. Garrett dug in with an eagerness at the meal presented but he filled quickly. His smaller stomach stuffed before he even dented pile before him. Gregory came in scratching his head as he handed the letter off to his spouse. Sitting down he gave a comforting smile to Garrett, “So you want to discuss your situation now?”

Garrett gave a faint sigh before saying, “I know that I am asking a lot of you to be sheltering me like this. I am not sure what exactly the letter said but I am in trouble with King Emeril and can use any help you are willing to offer.”

In a deep voice Gregory responded, “The letter mentioned that you are pursued by Emeril’s cruel wizard Mazara and need hiding. It also mentions that you are a friend and unjustly pursued. My wife and me are no friend’s of Emeril’s. If my wife agrees we will take you in and treat you as our daughter. I suggest that you don’t tell us your name that way we can truthfully say we don’t know where you are. What say you Darlene?”

The young nodded encouragingly squeezing Gregory’s muscular arm saying, “I am with you sweetheart. How about we call you Amber and from now on call us mom and dad? Now will anyone recognize you as you are now?”

Garrett shook his head, “No they won’t recognize me as I am now only Arietta would. It will feel funny calling you mom and dad but I will try my best to fit in and be dutiful. Thank you for the aid. Now how can I make myself useful?”

Darlene laughed, “Let’s get you set up in your room first. Follow me this way.” Garrett now Amber he guessed followed Darlene swaying form down a hall to a cosy room. It looked like a neutral guest room. A dresser and closet helped make up the room. “We can customize to make it your own Amber. You and I can pick some flowers to brighten it up.”

Amber blushed thinking of a paladin of the silver order out picking flowers, “That is alright I don’t need any flowers.”

Darlene shook her head, “Sorry Amber we are going to have to feminize this room and you if anyone is going to believe that you are a young girl. You need training to help you fit in and it starts now. You must remember to always keep your knees together or cross them. I will run you a bath so we can get you cleaned up proper. Don’t worry most of this will be fun.” She smiled down to Amber.
