Entering the nurse's office, Tiffany and Karyn sat down in the small waiting room and waited for the nurse to come out of the examination room. Apparently, the nurse was already helping someone at the moment.

Sighing, Karyn looked over and saw a table with a bunch of magazines on it. There was a "Better Homes and Gardens" magazine, which didn't really look any different in this new reality, by the cover; a "Newsweek" magazine, which had a picture of President Michelle Obama on the front, wearing a sharp suit and tie - it seemed that Barack was the First Gentleman now; a "Sports Illustrated" magazine cover showed a female athlete that Karyn didn't recognize - despite having the general look of someone who might have been considered petite and probably shy in the old reality, she had a strong and determined look about her - along the right side of the cover were some of the articles that were featured within the magazine, all of the athletes mentioned were female names for sports like basketball, baseball, and football, but there was one male name mentioned, for tennis; and then lastly, there was a "Vogue" magazine, featuring the picture of a young man with his long dirty blonde hair pulled back into a ponytail, expertly-done make-up on his face, hoop earrings in his ears, and was wearing a turquoise-colored open-backed halter top (the kind that tied around the neck and left the shoulders and arms exposed) - it was still weird seeing guys dressing up like girls, but she was actually starting to get used to it. It was just how the world was. She didn't recognize the young man on the "Vogue" magazine cover, though, but she assumed that he was probably some celebrity. Truth be told, she hadn't done a whole lot of research on what popular culture was like in this reality. She was more interested in seeing how people (mostly Jon) behaved at school. When the school day was over, she'd have to do some exploring. Check the internet, watch a little TV, that sort of thing.

Karyn grabbed the "Vogue" magazine, causing Tiffany to look at her oddly. Karyn glared at her, causing the big shot girl to raise up her hands defensively (signifying "okay, whatever"), shake her head, and then turn away.

Holding the magazine in front of her, Karyn looked at what kind of articles were inside. Browsing through it, she found several pictures of guys (presumably actors, models, athletes maybe) decked out in fancy and sexy dresses, cute tops, miniskirts, and the like, all looking similar to the man she saw on the cover. Article titles consisted of "Styling Nine to Five: The Working Wardrobe That Works For You" for working men, "Inside the Year's Most Glamorous Party", "Fashion to Flatter Every Figure", "Secret Lives: When She Isn't the Woman You Thought She Was", "Modern Romance: Simply Sexy Make-Up", and "The Curly Boys Guide to Gorgeous Hair". There was even an article about how guys could enhance the size of their cocks to impress and attract women (she figured that in the normal reality, the article would have been about female breast enlargement). Karyn would have looked through the magazine more, but had to put it down when the examination room door opened and a boy walked out (wearing a blouse, a denim skirt, and three-inch heels) and then left.

"Okay, I'll take who's next," came the baritone voice of a man. A moment later, the man stood at the open doorway. And no, he wasn't dressed like a nurse from the sixties. He was wearing scrubs, which was no different than what any modern day nurse would wear, male or female. But the rest of him ...

His face was made-up, his hair was curly and went down past his shoulders, and Karyn could see heeled sandals on his feet.

"Two of you, huh?" he uttered. "Okay, I'll take you first," he said, pointing a finger tipped with a light pink painted nail at ...
