Karyn was about to tell Jon about her wish, but then got a better idea. She still wanted to see how things were different in this reality that she had created with the stone, so she wasn't quite done yet doing her "exploring". So instead, she said "I like you, Jon. A lot. I don't like what you're wearing. I like you. You could be dressed in a boy's T-shirt and baggy jeans for all I care."
Jon looked at her oddly. "That's a weird thought, Karyn. You know I'd never crossdress, even for fun."
Karyn internally chuckled, knowing that the outfit she described was the type of thing Jon usually wore back in the normal reality. "My point is that you don't have to dress up in slutty clothes to get me to like you. To love you. I already do. It's just taken me a little time to figure out my feelings, that's all."
Jon was relieved. Then he became embarrassed. What was he thinking? Putting on this outfit was taking things way too far. But he couldn't get rid of it. He'd have to wait until school was over and change back at home. Just three classes left in the day, so about two and a half hours, but those were going to be a long two and a half hours.
"Sorry, Karyn. I guess I just didn't want to lose you," Jon said, looking sheepish.
There was a whistle and a catcall all of a sudden, from behind them. "Yo, boy. Lookin' good!" a girl called out. Karyn and Jon turned and saw ...
