"Hi, Karyn," Jon said over the phone.
"Oh, hi, Jon," she said. "What's up?"
"Do you know someone named Sarah McMillan?"
"You mean that nerdy girl?" Karyn asked.
So Sarah hated a nerdy girl the most. That wasn't too surprising. But which nerdy girl? There were quite a few that could be labeled as "nerdy" (although maybe wasn't a nerd, but rather a geek, a dweeb, or just plain unpopular). There was Kyla Leeson, Gladys Brewer, Jennifer Taylor, and more.
If Sarah was a nerdy girl now, then the girl she swapped with must be what Sarah used to be before the swap.
"Karyn, who's the head of the cheerleaders?" Jon asked.
There was a moment of silence. Karyn was probably confused by the question. How would Jon forget something like that?
"Just humor me," Jon said.
"The head cheerleader is ..."
