"What do you mean you can't wish her to leave me alone?" Karyn asked Jon, after meeting him at his house the next day. She was planning on just meeting him at school as usual, but she was so fed up by Sarah's advances that she couldn't risk Jon not taking the stone to school. "Give me the stone. I'll do it myself." She reached for it, but Jon stopped her. "Jon, what is wrong with you? You know how Sarah treats me. It's disgusting. If I'm going to use the stone for anything, it's to force that lesbo to stay away from me."
"Karyn, I said that I can't because I made a wish for her to ... love you."
"Wait, what? That can't be. She's been acting like that towards me for years."
"But you know how the stone works, Karyn. If you don't hear the wish ..."
"How could you do this to me?! Do you know how disgusting and weird it is for a girl to constantly be hitting on you all the time?!"
"No. I'd love it for a girl to hit on me," he said, smiling.
"Well, how would you like it if you had a guy hitting on you?" With one quick swoop, she snatched the stone out of Jon's hand and then sprinted out of Jon's bedroom.
"Karyn, where are you going?!"
Outside in the hall, Karyn quickly said (so Jon wouldn't hear it) "I wish that for the last three years there's been a boy who's very much in love with Jon and his name is ..."
