I also have unfortunately started avoiding the site because of the massive spam that has taken over most of the posts.
I previously posted in the forums describing in detail how many of the massive amounts posts lately were clearly spam. Copying and reposting other people's writing, spamming the same thing 15 times in a row in different threads, throwing in material so random (spam) that it doesn't fit where it was posted, randomly changing the story, the child porn images, etc. I don't need to describe again how its all clearly spam.
Following this, I really wish that something would be done regarding the current spam on the site. I really hate sorting through it looking for the good stories by legitimate authors. Its unfortunate that the rating system, which was supposed to be for identifying spam (with a rating of 1) is being ignored and not used as it was originally stated.
All of those things make me very sad as the spam and nonsense have alienated the site for me as well.
