As they got to their school, Jon began to notice how his wish had affected all the girls there. They all had animal tails and ears like his mom, sister and Karyn did. Catgirls were the most common, but there were a large number of foxgirls like Karyn and coyotegirls. There were even a few wolfgirls. Even his teachers had been affected. Because Jon was the only one to hear his own wish, everyone acted as if this was normal.
Karyn and Jon were intercepted by Sarah McMillan. Sarah was a foxgirl like Karyn, but was a grey fox, rather than a red fox like Karyn. Her grey ears and tail complemented her long, blonde hair. "So what's it like knowing you give foxgirls a bad name?" said Sarah. "Even a red fox like you should be able to get a better boyfriend than Jon." She walked away laughing.
"That bitch," said Karyn. "She still thinks that gray foxgirls are better than red foxgirls because she's one of them. Besides, any girl of actual substance would be happy to have a guy like you as her boyfriend, instead of the guys that only look at the outside like the guys that drool over Sarah."
"Do you really like me as your boyfriend?" asked Jon. Now he knew why she was being affectionate that morning. They were more than just best friends in this reality.
"Of course I do," said Karyn. "I couldn't ask for a better one." Karyn then wrapped her arms around Jon and kissed him passinately on the lips.
"And I couldn't ask for a more wonderful girlfriend," said Jon, and held her hand all the way to school. He noticed that Karyn's tail was much perkier than it had been earlier.
